Charter Amendments

Many people have asked for plain-English explanations of the 28 charter amendments on the ballot this November.  Some have asked for my opinion and recommendations.  You can find two files below; one with easier to understand summaries, and a second if you want my opinion.

With so many propositions on the ballot, several people have expressed frustration with number of propositions.  With so much to consider, it’s difficult to tell what’s important and what’s routine.  I’ve heard people say they’re going to vote “No” on all the propositions “just to be safe,” and it’s an argument I cannot argue with.  If you don’t have the time or energy to make it through all 28 propositions, the safest thing to do is to vote No.
