In 2014 and 2015, the citizens of Pflugerville passed bond referendums specifically to build, reconstruct, and improve local roads. That money will help us catch up with our current growth, but we need to plan for the future. With hundreds of people moving to Pflugerville every month, we’re going to need even more roads. Right now, we can start by acquiring the necessary right-of-way for expansion of our roads. We should be designing and engineering for the ultimate completion of those roads, even when we can only afford to build them in phases. And, most importantly, we need to work towards annexing those areas just outside our city limits, so that we can continue to fund new roads without raising taxes.
